660-AN ESSENTIAL SUPPLICATION

AN ESSENTIAL SUPPLICATION

Rang-o-Noor (BY SA'DI)

(Shumara: 660)

May Allah protect us all against the evils of social media!
Don't be Astonished: So many Muslims, in their fancy, join social media to gain good, study good and spread good. They will be astonished why refuge against the evils of social media has been sought at the very outset. The answer is that we seek refuge with Allah against the wickedness of day and night daily. We seek refuge against the wickedness of the moon also when we look at it rather we seek refuge against the wickedness of all the creatures through Sunnah supplication. It becomes known that there can be wickedness in every creature according to the divine law and only Allah can protect us against that evil. Good has been placed in the forehead of the horse to the Day of Judgement but owing to the evil in our hearts, the horse also becomes a cause of evil when we rear it for pretension, pride and unlawful bets. There is all good in an accepted Mujaahid but a Mujaahid can also become a cause of evil for us due to evil in our hearts. For example, his faults come to our view in a way that we may go away from Jihaad. Faults and weaknesses are found in all humans except prophets. How great benefit we gain if they are hidden from us. If they are exposed to us, we can gain nothing from that personality. So we should keep the virtues of the saints in view. We should not trace out their faults. If ever we happen to see a fault, we should seek forgiveness from Allah. The faults of the saints also written off when our heart is pure. However the process of good and evil is going on and root cause of social media is in the wicked people. Wickedness predominates it. Better if the believers protect themselves from this evil. If can't, they should, at least, demand this supplication from the core of the heart, "O Allah, protect us against its wickedness!"
Estimate Yourselves: Joining social media, do you feel peace of mind or excess of restlessness, light in the heart or dirt and soil whether there is fear of Allah in the heart or the passions of pride, pretension, show and worry surge in it? Meter of the heart is fixed in everyone's chest. Judge from there what the result is. A fellow was weeping, "I received so many words of abuse at social media at my such and such speech that I had never faced before even my fans were giving me words of abuse." He should be asked, "Why do you go to social media? If you go there, keep one point in mind that you will have to pay a very high price for the honour given to you." The religious people don't avoid social media. They should include the following supplication in their routine, "O Allah, protect us against the evils of social media!" If this supplication is sought sincerely and regularly, it is hoped that we shall get rid of this Dajjaalli sedition one day or the other. Closing all our accounts and sites when we sit in a Masjid, we shall begin to shed tears of gratitude, "O Allah, You have rid me of great filth and freed me of slavery." In other words, that filthy world does not exist at all where our time, our Din and our honour are slaughtered when it was not incumbent upon us to study and answer every futile point of every worthless person." I requested a few individuals to seek Istighfaar for 4000 times for forty days to remove negligence. They did so and wrote to me wonderful changes. If we had space, we should have published those findings which tell us that lives have been changed with wonderful light, delight, melting and enjoyments. May Allah protect us against the evil of social media and bless us with the delight of Zikr!
Decision of the Heart: I have stated above that meter of every heart is fixed in the chest. It is true that until the heart becomes dead due to rust and dust, it keeps informing us of every good and wickedness. Sometimes you join someone's company, your routines on that day are multiplied. Sometimes, you join another's company, all of your routines are upset. All these are decisions of the heart. The heart receives light from the bright people but darkness from evil people. When secret wires of the heart are connected with someone, it gains beneficence from a long distance. The world of the heart is very strange, mighty and vast. Neuro Surgeons say that brain is the origin and heart is subject to it. They are wrong. Brain is a minor slave and servant of the heart. Empire of the heart is very vast. Those who concentrate on the brain in contemplation don't succeed but those who concentrate on the heart, win laurels. All the contemplations of Yoga, Austin and Buddhism are limited only to brain whereas contemplation of the Muslim is for the sake of might and single-mindedness of the heart. All is correct if heart is correct. It is good if you have perceived this point; if not, supplicate to Allah to bless your hearts with life and protect us and our children against the evil of social media.
In Honour of Hazrat Baba Fareed: Beneficence from the holy saints can be sought through heart not through reasoning. Study the book "Raahat-ul-Quloob". So many points do not come up to the educational standard in vogue but if the heart perceives them, great benefit is gained. We can openly differ with the saints with regard to rulings and traditions but under two conditions. First, those who differ should be learned people. Second, there should occur no lack in respect due to difference of opinion. We have mad-love for Imaam Bukhaari, Imaam Muslim and Imaam Tirmizi but difference of opinion continues. More than this, the heart overflows with love for great people like Imaam Maalik, Imaam Shaafa'e and Imaam Ahmad bin Hanbal but as regards Fiqh, we side with Imaam Abu Hanifah. All this is beauty and vastness of our Sharia that this kind of difference of opinion is a source of mercy. Now, note a writing from the book "Raahat-ul-Quloob"
"There was a saint who solved every difficulty faced by people in a traditions. One day, the discussion was about combing. He said, "Combing is the Sunnah of our Holy Prophet ﷺ, and all the prophets. Whoever combs his beard at night will not be led to a calamity by Allah (i.e. he will not face any fiscal problem). Allah will award him reward in lieu of every hair in the beard equal to freeing one thousand slaves and will remove sins equal to it." (Raahat-ul-Quloob)
If you paste this writing on the social media for discussion, you will face criticism from every corner. People will demand the decrees from Sheikh Al-Baani and Sheikh bin Baaz. Argumentation will increase placing beard and combing at one side whereas the situation of Infidelity and Islam will be created. Let me explain a point here. Despite differences with Sheikh Al-Baani and Sheikh bin Baaz, I have great love for them. Hazrat Sheikh Al-Baani rendered great services. It is another point that the Arabs devoid of knowledge and research call his writings final word and give a proof of mistake and illiteracy. Sheikh Al-Baani himself never made such a claim that his research should be deemed final and that they should be verified with the help of reports in Al-Bukhaari and Al-Muslim. The most unforgettable achievement of Hazrat Sheikh Al-Baani is his "Decree on Jihaad." He issued decree about legality of Afghan Jihaad after USSR attack. His friends tried to lead him to fallacy. The harsh Sulfi movement mounted pressure on him that Afghan Mujaahideen are Bidiati (innovators in Islam) but the Sheikh stood firm. He issued decree in favour of Jihaad at the moment when dark night of negligence was enveloping the world of Islam.
It was light from his heart. May Allah brighten his grave due to its blessings! This sacred decree strengthened the Afghan Jihaad greatly. In the same way, Sheikh Bin Baaz also patronized the Mujaahideen and Jihaad greatly. He was an ardent supporter of Palestinian and Afghan Jihaad. I visited him once in this connection and had a meal with him. I was saying that if we get light from traditions and high position of beard in Islam in order to understand the above writing of Hazrat Baba Fareed, there stands no objection against this writing but this practice is not in vogue on media. May Allah bless our hearts with light and protect us against the evil of social media!
