May Allah bless us with His Zikr as nothing is equal to it? ولذکراللّٰہ اکبر Allah's Zikr is the greatest thing . Allah is the Greatest of all اللہ، اللہ، اللہ. Today's topic is Allah's Zikr and a few practices of Hazrat Baba Farid-ud-Din Masood.
Understand an Important Point: Zikr means remembrance of Allah. It has countless methods but most important is that Allah, Allah should be invoked without any greed and request. Only invocation to Allah without any supplication and beseeching. Only Allah, Allah without any fear and hope. Only Allah, Allah. Invoking to Allah for a need is not a bad thing. Calling to Allah with requests is a devotion. Supplicating to Allah is the essence of devotion. Beseeching to Allah is a great virtue. Having fear and hope of Allah is a part of faith. But sometimes there should be more invocation and remembrance. اللہ، اللہ، اللہ There should be Allah, Allah whether with tongue or heart, bones or skin. Man should be steeped in it. He should call his Lord's name and be lost in it fully unaware of the surroundings اللہ، اللہ، اللہ. If Allah is gained, man himself may become humble and Allah, Allah should prevail. This Zikr is very high-ranked, essential and useful. It is just like handing over one's soul to Allah. Allah is pleased with such Zikr. This Zikr leads man to the right path. There should be Allah's Zikr for His sake اللہ، اللہ، اللہ. Allah created us without any demand, and nourished us without any demand. He provides us life without demand. He is giving us air and water without demand and is running the system of our body and blood in it without demand. Allah is our Beloved and Sustainer. We are to revert to Allah. We get lost in futile points and memories all the day and night. We should, sometimes, remember our True, Well-wishing and Beloved Lord with love keeping His Grandeur in view. اللہ، اللہ، اللہ
Shut your eyes for a while after Salaat and recite Allah, Allah, Allah with tongue and breaths. Then close the tongue and recite Allah, Allah, Allah from the heart. Then get lost in it. If you are really lost in it, the eyes will shed tears, heart will be purified and light will descend upon you. Then do not deem yourself a big saint nor wait for the world to respect you rather get lost in it considering Allah the Greatest and yourself smallest. How smaller we will be if we are in the ocean and how smaller if we are at the foot of a mountain. O my dear! Here is Allah in whose comparison, mountain and ocean are not equal to a particle. We are generally good for nothing. Actual Zikr produces in man humbleness and service because when heart is pure, man witnesses his origin in it. Neither is our Salaat nor is Kalimah correct. There is only filth and dirt and all sins. It is Allah's favour if He lets us invoke to His name despite being so great.
A Practice: Man's brain is ever active. It never settles anywhere. The Satan has placed attraction in sins so people get lost in films but there is no concentration in Salaat and Zikr. If concentration is sought, man gets tried of it soon. So practice daily. It becomes easy to control thoughts due to it and the scattered thoughts are collected. Sit on the earth; better soil or grass, otherwise sit on the floor, shut your eyes, supervise your breaths whether you inhale or exhale, there should be attention to breaths, fully supervised when it goes in and comes out. Practice it from twenty to one hundred breaths daily. It will benefit you greatly if Allah wills. We recommend this same exercise to the individuals whose brain gets tired. When we operate 300 channels on the poor brain, it will get hot and tired. Then ever new griefs, misgivings and confusions will arise in it. There is neither magic nor spell on many people. Only their brain gets tired. When brain gets tired, it exhausts the whole body. The brain gets tired generally due to two reasons. One is gas trouble and other is crowed of jangling thoughts. Lack of sleep and rays on the phone screen also cause tiredom of the brain. However, when the brain gets tired, it leads man to so many misdeeds and sensualities, griefs and misgivings, despair and disappointments and sometimes it begins to frame fake films as some people say, "I hear such and such sound. Water talks to me. Walls advise me. I witness such and such thing. I see giants and evil-spirits." All this is due to exhaustion and dryness of the brain. Stop fixing your eyes on the phone and TV and practice as advised. Apply oil on the head without break according to the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet ﷺ because brain is in dire need of oil. If only we make Sunnah our fashion, there will be all good for us in this world and the Hereafter.
Servitude......... Devotion: We are Allah's slaves. One of important causes of our worries these days is that we have no servitude in us. We do dealing with Allah in every matter as, "We did this. Why did this not happen?" We comprehended neither Allah's greatness nor Grandeur. Why do these Fedai demand Shahaadat so yearningly? Do their bodies not possess wishes like ours? Do they not feel charm in the world? They have all but they know Allah's greatness a little and then become upset how to please so great Lord. Then they try to please Allah by sacrificing their lives: the dearest thing. They think that it is against respectability to offer a thing minor than this. On the other hand, the case with us is that we do dealing with Allah all the day long. We remain busy with deeds if worldly problems are solved otherwise we forsake doing good deeds. May Allah bless us also with His actual Zikr and remembrance! We may spend one day; twenty-four hours; as slaves of Allah. We should establish Salaat and do all good deeds for His good-pleasure and remain lost in His Zikr. Allah, Allah, Allah.
The Place of Servitude: Actual achievement is to become Allah's slave. I have discussed a method for this Zikr. We should include it in our routine daily for a while. Allah knows that we may also be blessed with a particle from servitude. The point has gone too far. So practices could not be written. Sorry. Allah's Zikr is the biggest practice. Allah, Allah, Allah.
