583-THE HARDEST DAY

THE HARDEST DAY

Rang-o-Noor (BY SA'DI)

(Shumara: 583)

May Allah protect us against the severity, disgrace and punishment of the Day of Judgement! ذٰلِکَ الْیَوْمُ الْحَقّ That day is a reality. That is the longest day equal to centuries; the day of reckoning and reward, very tough, very hard and very difficult. اِنَّ زَلْزَلَۃَ السَّاعَۃِ شَیْئٌ عَظِیْمٌ This is the day whose severity and terror will render the children old. The Holy Quran has stated the scenes of terror of this day at several places. Mercy, O Allah mercy! But that day will be very sweet, delightful, honourable, solacing and comforting for a few people. Whoever escapes punishment on this day will succeed and whoever succeeds on that day will never fail. وَکَانَ ذٰلِکَ عِنْدَ اللّٰہِ فَوْزاً عَظِیْماً
A Tale: A wealthy person got an orchard constructed adjacent to his palace. He would go to the orchard and stroll among the fruits and flowers. He found the orchard small and thought of expanding it. There was the farm of a poor farmer adjacent to the orchard. When the wealthy person ordered his servants and ruffians, they usurped that farm and included it in his orchard so it expanded whereas the poor famer kept protesting helplessly. Once, he found the wealthy person strolling all alone. He placed an empty sack on his shoulder, went to him and said beseechingly, "I need some soil. May I fill this sack if you allow me?" The wealthy person allowed him. Filling the sack with soil, he sat down on the ground requesting the wealthy person again to place the sack on his shoulders. When the rich man tried so, he began to pant saying, "I can't lift it up. Lift it yourself." The farmer said, "My dear, you cannot lift up this sack. How will you be able to lift the whole of my farm on your shoulders on the Day of Judgement? The Day of Judgement will be equal to the centuries." Hearing this, the rich man was drenched in the hotness of fear so he gave back the farm of the poor man at once. O yes, the Day of Judgement is very hard. Only that person who is free of such load will succeed.
Hazrat Abdullah bin Mubarak says, "Giving back one one's dubious coin is dearer to me than giving one half million as charity." It means the shadowy wealth. Giving it back is a deed of so great reward. How essential it will be to give back the unlawful wealth? How useful will it be to give back someone's security and right? O believers, search out your wealth, your pockets, your property and your safes lest a few unlawful coins should lie there. We are to cross the Siraat Bridge. We are to undergo reckoning. Wealth is the biggest of our faith. O Allah, make us all honest and resurrect us as honest believers. Keep in mind, keeping someone's needle in our possession is hazardous for us in both the worlds.
A Very Pathetic Scene: There is a tradition in the Al-Bukhari reading which man begins to shudder. So, the Muslims should study it again and again. It states horrible scene of one day on the Day of Judgement. The Holy Prophet ۭ tells his Ummah very wistfully, "I should not see you on the Day of Judgement with goats and horses loaded on your shoulders or a camels sitting at your necks crying or bundles of cloth lying on your shoulders and you call me, "O Messenger of Allah, help us" and I may respond, "I can help you naught. I conveyed Allah's dictates to you." These are the people who misappropriate in collective wealth, practice dishonesty and usurp their wealth.
They will be resurrected on the Day of Judgement that that object will be sitting on their shoulders; the thing in which they practised dishonesty. It will not be cruelty on the part of Allah but justice. Allah has ordered us to spend every thing on Din promising us livelihood again and again, pronouncing amplitude in Zakat. Allah has placed efficacy in charity. He has made kindness with the relatives and financial assistance to the parents a sources of prosperity in the world. Allah has made high promises with those who place trust in Allah and spend in His way. What does it show if a Muslim overlooks all these points and misappropriates collective goods? It proves that that person has faith in Allah. He considers his reasoning and shrewdness his sustainer and finds his honour and progress in dishonesty. Hence, that person will be brought in so disgraceful condition that the Holy Prophet ۭ will refuse to help him. Mercy, O Allah mercy!
Hurry Up: We should be hasty in doing a few tasks with regard to wealth otherwise that malady becomes deep rooted: (1). Hurry up to pay Zakat before the lapse of the whole year. Separate the Zakat wealth so that payment should start as soon as the new year starts.
(2). If some relative particularly a woman has a share in property, separate it at once. Valuelessness, financial worry and sin of the wealth multiplies as long as a man possesses that wealth. It will become a permanent punishment if death befalls.
(3). Pay back the security or wealth of someone at once not stopping it at all. Using it without permission causes his own loss.
(4). When you think of charity or expenditure on Din, do it at once. Delay in it will cause deprivation.
(5). Hurry up in paying back the debt at once not waiting for the next morning. Some people make a mistake in it and fall a prey to worry. Your wealth will not progress if other's wealth gets mixed up with it. So separate others wealth and right. You will watch wonderful amplitude in your wealth. Campaign for Masaajid is going to start next week. Keep these points in mind so that you may earn full reward.
